2014 Laguna Beach Music Festival

The 2014 Laguna Beach Music Festival pushes outward from classical chamber music to explore the indie-classical and post-genre worlds where classical art song meets the singer-songwriter tradition and contemporary music draws from the pop music vernacular.

Featured are celebrated pianist Jeffrey Kahane and his composer-pianist-songwriter son Gabriel Kahane, along with the splendid Linden String Quartet and the new music vituousi of the yMusic sextet, in a week of concerts, discussions, salons and parties that break down the barriers between artist and audience and boundaries between musical genres.
